Dennis Washington is the co-owner of a controlling interest in a Montana-based company known as Washington Companies and a Canada-based company Seaspan Marine Corporation. Right after his graduation in high school, he started working in a construction company based in Montana and Alaska. At the age of 30, starting with his $30,000 loaned capital and bulldozer, Washington Construction was formed. The company primarily worked on highway contracts. By 1969, the company became the largest contractor across Montana. In the following year, he started exploring the dam construction and mining industry.
