About Darwin Deason
American businessman Darwin Deason has an estimated net worth of $1.41 billion as of June 2016 according to Forbes.
After graduating from high school, Deason moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he landed a job at Gulf Oil. Eventually, he joined MTech, a data processing firm in Dallas which he took over later on. At age 29, he became the CEO of the company and by 1988, he sold the company.
Within days, he founded Affiliated Computer Service which offers business process outsourcing solutions and information technology services to non-profit organizations, government agencies, and businesses like E-ZPass. Initially, ACS was founded to offer data services to the finance industry, but through Deason’s leadership, the company experienced significant expansions. It began offering services to other sectors and industries such as education, government, financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, travel, transportation, insurance and communication.
When Affiliated Computer Service went public, he sold the company to Xerox in 2010 for $6.4 billion. ACS is now operating in around 100 countries and is generating an annual revenue of $6 billion. As of September 2009, the company already hired 74,000 employees.
Currently based in Dallas Texas, Deason is married to his fifth wife Katerina. He has three children.
