Chaleo Yoovidhya is the co-founder of a world-renowned energy drink Red Bull. On his death in March 2012, he was considered as the third richest billionaire in Thailand.

Chaleo Yoovidhya is said to born into a poor Thai Chinese family between 1922-1932 who traded fruits and raised ducks for a living. Later on, he worked as an antibiotic salesman before he built TC Pharmaceuticals, his own pharmaceutical company. In 1976, he introduced an energy drink with a logo depicting red bulls that are charging each other. Later on, Dietrich Mateschitz claimed that the beverage was able to cure his jet lag. In 1984, the two became partners and they launched the export version of the energy drink in 1987.
