Casey Wasserman is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) where he completed his Bachelor's degree in Political Science. After finishing his bachelor's degree from UCLA, he then started working as an investment banker.

He became the youngest person to have owned a professional sports team when he purchased Arena Football League's Los Angeles Avengers for $5 million in 1998. Eventually, he became the chairman of the Arena Football League despite his very young age.
