Mr. Chaudhary has built most of his estimated net worth of $1 billion abroad. He is the current President and Managing Director of Cinnovation/Chaudhary Group (CG), a conglomerate of nearly 80 companies in five continents that is worth more than a billion dollars. It has more than 60 brands in 30 countries. Among its food brands, the Wai Wai instant noodles brand has been the most successful business. Another popular arm is the Cinnovation Group, the holding company of Cigen Corporation.

Binod also holds a controlling stake in Nabil Bank Limited. He is a minority shareholder of Tata Groups’ Taj Hotel Resorts and Palaces in India.

Born on April 14, 1955, Binod Chaudhary grew up in a family of businessmen. His grandfather is a textile trader who migrated from Rajasthan and started supplying goods to the erstwhile rulers. His father opened the first department store in the country. He skipped college so he could join the family trade at the age of 18.

Chaudhary is married with three sons. He let his children manage some of his business such as the Singapore arm, Cinnovation. His eldest son, Nirvana, controls domestic businesses while younger Rahul and Varun are responsible for his overseas interests. He is one fitness fanatic who goes every year in the Himalayas.
