William Hunt Gross was born on April 13, 1944  in Middletown, Ohio. He attended Duke University where he finished his degree in Psychology. He then studied at the University of California Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management where he earned his MBA. William Gross is currently married to Sue J. Gross with whom he has one child. Gross has two other children from previous relationships. He is known to be an avid stamp collector and active philanthropist.
