He was appointed deputy chairman and CEO in 1996 and he has expanded the firm’s operations with a series of acquisitions, mergers and technological advancements. He has been chairman since 2003 when his father Pekka died. In 2006, he stepped down as the CEO.

Antti Herlin is also the Chairman of Security Trading Oy. He also sits on the board of YIT, a Finnish construction firm. Ha has invested in another construction company, Lemminkainen. He is also the recipient of the Nordic 2012 Chair of the Year, an honor given to the best chairman of a publicly listed company in the region.
