Anatoly Skurov is a Russian billionaire who has an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion as of March 2013 according to Forbes. He is the 61st richest person in Russia and listed as the 882nd billionaire in the world. Born Anatoly Georgievich Skurov on December 7, 1952 in the Tula region, he graduated from the Tula Polytechnic Institute in 1975.

Skurov has accumulated his estimated net worth of $1.7 billion since he started working on Kopeyskoye Engineering Plant and left the company as chief designer. In 1994, he settled with a state company called Rosugol which deals with the reform of the Russian coal industry.

In 1995, along with the former commercial director of the union Kuznetskugol, Anatoly Smolyaninov, Valentino Buhtoyarov and Vladimir Melnichenko, Anatoly Skurov founded Sibuglemet. In the same year, he became the CEO of the company. He was named the president of the holding in 2003. Lately, however, the three have been battling over coal assets.

Skurov owns an 8% stake with the fertilizer producer Uralkali. Among his colleagues are Suleiman Kerimov, Filaret Galchev, Alexander Nesis, and Zelimkhan Mutsoev who were all billionaires.
