Indonesian businessman Achmad Hamami has an estimated net worth of $1.08 billion as of April 2016 according to Forbes. Achmad Hamami is an elite jet pilot turned businessman who decided to retire after experiencing some corruption in the ranks. He is considered as the youngest pilot to become a colonel in military history of Indonesia.

Through the help of a friend in 1970, he became a distributor of Caterpillar in Indonesia. In addition to being the dealer of heavy equipment in Indonesia, Achmad Hamami and his family are also involved in investments, leasing and energy.

Today, his son Muki serves as the director of the family owned PT Tiara Marga Trakindo (TMT) which is the current holding company of 17 Indonesia-based companies. In an interview with Muki, he revealed that any of their family members has to undergo a series of tests before they actually get a position in the company. First, they need two years of training in the company and additional five years of training outside the company. They also had to go through interviews with the company directors before get hired.
