About Mark Stevens
American Mark Stevens is a former venture capitalist at Sequoia Capital in Silicon Valley. Mark Stevens has an estimated net worth of $1.3 Billion. He obtained his BS and master’s degree from the University of Southern California, and his MBA from Harvard University. In 1982, he joined Intel Corporation, a then mid-sized company about to specialize on the PC boom. He became a partner at Sequoia Capital in 1989 and began to concentrate on semiconductor, software, and systems-related investments. In 1999, he scored an early investment as an electrical engineer in graphics chipmaker NVIDIA, where he is still a board member.
In 2012, Stevens switched his status to special limited partner after nearly 20 years at Sequoia. He then created his own firm, S-Cubed Capital. His fortune has increased with stakes in Google and LinkedIn, which were both backed by Sequoia. Currently, he is a part time lecturer at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and has invested in some of his students’ start-ups. He has been a generous donor to the University of Southern California, where he is a trustee, as well as to Santa Clara University, his wife’s alma mater.
