Millionaire and entrepreneur Robert Miller is the co-founder of Duty Free Shoppers (DFS) and a sailing champion. He was born Robert Warren Miller on May 23, 1933 in Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts and is now a British citizen based in Hong Kong. He attended Cornell University School of Hotel Management and graduated in 1955 after earning a degree in Hotel Administration.

In 1960, Miller started DFS in Hong Kong with Chuck Feeney and he still holds a large minority stake in the firm. He divides his time between Hong Kong, London, the US and other places. His investment firm, Squadron Capital, which was part of his Search Investment Group, was sold last year. He is best known as the father of the three famed “Miller Sisters.” Two of them married royalty but one is already divorced. The other one married a grandson of Getty Oil founder and is a filmmaker who won awards for her latest work, Axis of Light.
