Albert Yeung is the Founder and Chairman of the Emperor Group and he has an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion as of March 2013. He is the 39th richest person on the list of the Top 50 Billionaires in Hong Kong. He was also ranked 1031st on the list of World Billionaires. The firm began as a watch retailer which was founded by his father, Yeung Shing, in 1942. Since then, it has grown into a diversified group of companies with interests in financial services, property, watch and jewelry, entertainment and films, hospitality, publishing and printing, furniture, and catering.

The flagship Emperor Group has led to Yeung’s net worth to be up by $300 million a year ago. He now controls five listed companies that included Emperor International, Emperor Watch and Jewelry, Emperor Entertainment, Emperor Capital, and New Media Group. It has also ventured in overseas markets outside of Hong Kong. It has expanded to Mainland China, Macau, Thailand, Indonesia, the United States and Europe. It now has more than 7,000 employees with more than 500 subsidiaries and branch offices. Last year, it celebrated its 70th founding anniversary with events that included Paul Anka singing at a gala dinner and Taiwanese singer Tsai Chin on hand.
