Of Scottish and English ancestry, Alexander McQueen started his career in fashion while working as an apprentice at Anderson & Sheppard, where his most famous clients include Prince Charles and Mikhail Gorbachev. Prior to his suicide, Alexander McQueen was diagnosed with mixed depressive and anxiety disorder.
