Les Moonves is the President and CEO and a Director of CBS Corporation. He has an estimated net worth of $300 million that he earned as an actor on the TV series Cannon, The Six Million Dollar Man and on an episode of The Practice. He was born Leslie Moonves on October 6, 1949 in New York City, New York to a Jewish family. He attended Valley Stream High School and went to Bucknell University where he graduated in 1971. Early in his business career, he was in-charge of first-run syndication and pay/cable programming at 20th Century Fox Television. He was also the Vice President of movies and mini-series.

Moonves joined CBS in 1995. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CBS from 1998 to 2004. He served as its Chairman from 2003 to 2005. From June 2004 to December 2005, he was Co-President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of Viacom, a mass media company and the former parent company of CBS. He was also the director of Viacom and Westwood One, Inc. Before CBS, he was President of Warner Bros. Television from 1993 when Warner Bros. and Lorimar Television combined operations. He was President of Lorimar Television from 1989 to 1993.
