Currently married with one offspring, Yuriy Kosiuk is a prominent business magnate with a personal net worth amounting to $1.54 billion. After graduating from Kiev Food Industry Institute in 1992 with a degree in food process engineering, he begun his business endeavor by importing furniture and Turkmenistan gas. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, he started trading grain and eventually moved into poultry in 1998 with 10 employees.
He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of OJSC Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) which he founded in 1998 and is now Ukraine's biggest producer of poultry. In 2008, he took the company public and it became the first Ukrainian agro-industrial enterprise that was listed in the London stock exchange. He managed to increase the company's production capacity by 30% and he owns about 77% of MHP. As the major stockholder, he sold approximately 10% of the company's share in 2010. Mr. Losiuk also founded the Business Centre for the Food Industry (BCFI) in 1995 where he served as the President until 1999.
