About Seth Gold
Seth Gold is a fourth generation pawnbroker and an American television reality star with an estimated net worth of $1 million. He is the only son and business partner for Les Gold, the owner of American Jewelry and Loan. He is responsible in the marketing of the family-owned and ran shop which is located on Michigan Avenue in Detroit. His sister, Ashley, is the manager of the jewelry shop.
Often described as a smart businessman, he never hesitates to point out to his father every room for improvement despite his running the shop for more than 40 years already. He has brought a modern, corporate structure to the family business. He is often meticulous and pragmatic, an exact opposite of his father who is spontaneous. He was just named the 2013 Pawnbroker of the Year during the annual meeting and conference by the National Pawnbrokers Association.
Seth is also one of the stars of Hardcore Pawn, an American documentary reality television series which features the daily activities at the American Jewelry and Loan pawnshop including the sibling rivalry between Seth and Ashley in each episode. The show debuted on August 16, 2010 and has set a new record with 2 million viewers as the most-watched series debut of all time on truTV. It is produced by RDF USA (later Zodiak USA) and Richard Dominick Productions.
