American portfolio manager and reality television personality, Ames Brown, has an estimated net worth of $3.5 million. Brown was one of the 25 eligible bachelors who competed for the American reality dating game show, The Bachelorette. He eventually became a contestant on the second season of Bachelor Pad.

Ames is a portfolio manager from New York, New York and is also the former Board Chairman and co-founder of FREOPP. He assists the Board of Directors of FREOPP and runs an investment firm in New York called the Capital Counsel Management LLC.

He initially got the policy bug after serving a term as the chairman of the Independent Party of the Yale Political Union. He eventually studied econometrics in a doctoral program that was jointly run by MIT and Harvard. Aside from this, Ames was able to earn two master's degrees from Columbia: one in Business Administration and the other in Strategic Communications. Ames was also able to harness computational methods that study the policy arguments, cadences and hand gestures of politicians in real-time.

Ames is especially passionate about a couple of policy areas. He wants to build better fiscal models for studying significant changes to the federal budget and make higher education more affordable. He believes that people who are seeking a college education without the crippling debt are those that deserve the most carefully designed policies for the country. He believes that FREOPP is the natural home for important research at this level of rigor.

In August 2015, Ames married his wife Allison and spent a month trekking in Nepal afterward. The couple lives in New York City.
