He was named the chairman and CEO of Ticketmaster Entertainment in late 2008. He was the Executive Chairman of Live Nation Entertainment until he stepped down on December 31, 2012. Since January 2010, he served on the board of directors of the company. Between October 2008 and January 2010, he was the CEO of Ticketmaster. He has served as the CEO of Front Line since 2005. He has also worked for MCA Records during the 80's. He was also the director of Channel, IMG, and TBA Global.

In January 2008, Irving Azoff has worked with former New Kids on the Block alumni Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Jonathan Knight, Danny Wood and Donnie Wahlberg for their reunion album.
