Susanna Hoffs began her career when she was exposed to rock music. She met Vicki Peterson and Debbi Peterson, the three forming the pop group The Bangles.
They released their first album, All Over the Place, in 1984 on Columbia Records. With the album Different Light in 1986, they became an instant hit with the songs "Manic Monday" and "Walk Like an Egyptian."
In 1986, Hoffs co-wrote the song "I Need a Disguise" for Belinda Carlisle's album, Belinda.
The Bangles's third album, Everything, released in 1988, the single "Eternal Flame" becoming popular.
The Bangles disbanded in 1990. In 1999, the girls recorded the single, "Get the Girl," for the film soundtrack of the Austin Powers sequel.They announced that to reunite full-time in 2000. In 2003, they released their fourth album, Doll Revolution.
In her solo career, she released her album, When You're a Boy, in 1991. Hoffs' third solo album, Someday was produced by Vanguard Records in 2012.
Susanna Lee Hoffs was born on January 17, 1959 in Los Angeles, California, USA. In 1980, she graduated from University of California, Berkeley and she took up a Bachelor degree in Art. She is married to Austin Powers' director Jay Roach in 1993, and they have two sons.
