Stefan Lessard is a musician whose net worth is $75 million. He became famous as the bassist of the Dave Matthews Band. He was born Stefan Kahil Lessard on June 4, 1974 in Anaheim, California. His family has moved several times until they settled in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1987.

Lessard studied in Tandem School where he learned music under trumpeter John D’earth and bassist Peter Spaar. The two recommended him to Dave Matthews so he will be included in the band that is looking for a bassist. He joined the band when he was 16 years old and it is just forming.

He did his jazz studies program at Richmond’s Virginia Commonwealth University. However, he left only after six weeks after he realized that it became evident that he could not be a full-time college student while simultaneously touring with a band that is rising in in popularity.

Lessard started to maintain a page on MySpace which was known as LowenDude in 2006. He also has a blog and maintains it at izstyle.com. He started to do video blog on YouTube during the 2007 European Tour. In 2008, he, along with the members of Barenaked Ladies and Guster, performed for a concert, which was sponsored by Okemo Mountain Resort, a ski resort in Vermont. He also co-wrote the original music for Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk later that year.
