Puerto Rican singer, dancer, and actress Rita Moreno has an estimated net worth of $25 million. She is the only Hispanic, and one of the few performers to have all four major annual American entertainment awards, including an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy and a Tony, colloquially known as an EGOT. She is also the second Puerto Rican to win an Academy Award.

Born Rosa Dolores Alverio on December 11, 1931 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she was raised in nearby Juncos. She moved to New York with her mother when she was five and took her first dance lessons. At the age of 11, she did Spanish-language voice over work. By 14, she appeared in her first Broadway show, Skydrift, playing the role of Angelina. Her performance caught the attention of Hollywood talent scouts.

Moreno has played supporting roles in films like The Toast of New Orleans, Singin’ in the Rain, Summer Smoke,The Night of the Following Day, Carnal Knowledge and The King and I. In 1961, she landed the role of Anita in the film adaptation of the award-winning musical West Side Story. Her performance earned her the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award.

Rita Moreno is also recognized for her work on The Electric Company and Oz, an HBO drama. She also appeared in television series such as The Rockford Files, The Love Boat, The Cosby Show, George Lopez, The Golden Girls and Miami Vice.
