When country music star Johnny Cash passed away, his total net worth was $120 million. He was an American singer, songwriter and actor who was best known for his number one hit songs like "I Walk The Line" and "The Folsom Prison Blues." Johnny Cash was born in Kingsland, Arkansas to parents who had been affected by the great depression. The painful ordeal his family went through during this time inspired many of Cash's later hit songs. He got his first break after moving to Memphis, Tennessee in 1954 and auditioning numerous times at Sun Records studio. At first, the record producers there did not like his gospel style music. So, Cash changed the form of his music into a "rockabilly" style, which was an early form of rock and roll. He then got his first recordings at Sun Records for the songs "Cry! Cry! Cry!" and "Hey Porter." His stardom took off from there and he became known as one of the most prominent singers of the 20th century. His name is synonymous with "music legend."
