American singer, songwriter, actor and businessman Howie Dorough, also known as Howie D, has an estimated net worth of $45 million. He is widely recognized for being a member of the American boy band, Backstreet Boys.
Howie Dorough, together with Brian Litrell, Alexander McLean, Kevin Richardson and Nick Carter, formed the Backstreet Boys back in 1993. Their debut self-titled album was released in 1996 and enjoyed massive success in Europe. It sold more than eight million copies. They released their second album "Backstreet's Back" in 1997. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 and sold more than 14 million copies. In May 1999, they released their third and most successful album "Millennium". It was the best-selling album of the year and sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. The group went on to release a total of nine studio albums, one live album and two compilation albums. Their record sales exceed 130 million copies worldwide.
Dorough also has a number of solo projects. He worked with Katelyn Tarver and George Nozuka as their producer. He manages Neverest, a Canadian pop-rock band. In November 2011, he released his debut solo album "Back to Me" which enjoyed moderate success. He has guest-starred on "Roswell" and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch". He also appeared in the 2013 comedy film "This Is The End". Together with his older brother, he founded Sweet D Inc, a real estate company.
Howie Dorough was born in August 22, 1973 in Orlando, Florida to a Puerto Rican mother and Irish American father. He married his longtime girlfriend, Leigh Boniello in December 8, 2007. The couple has two sons, James and Holden.
