English musician, singer and songwriter Florence Welch has a net worth of $14 million. Welch is best known as the lead singer of Florence and the Machine. Her critically acclaimed debut album Lungs followed in July 2009 and quickly became one of the year's most popular releases in the U.K., where Florence charted four Top 40 singles in less than 12 months.
The private school-educated, Welch had a bohemian southeast London upbringing. Her mother, Evelyn, is an art historian from the United States and her father, Nick, a British advertising executive turned campsite owner and part-time journalist. He has written of his daughter that she will make money only “if she sells a lot of CDs and gets film tie-ins". She is following daddy’s advice: tracks from Lungs have featured in a number of feature films and on the television show, Glee. Born Florence Leontine Mary Welch on 28 August 1986 in Camberwell, London, England, United Kingdom.
