Bruno Mars is an American singer-songwriter and record producer who has an estimated net worth of $150 million.
Bruno Mars' singing career started at the age four when he became a member of his family’s band, The Love Notes. His notable performance was his impersonation of Elvis Presley. After graduating from high school, Mars decided to move to Los Angeles, California so he can pursue a career in the music industry.
In 2004, he signed a record deal with Motown Records but it did not push through. A year later, he landed a music publishing deal for Westside Independent with the help of his mentor, Steve Lindsey. He produced music and wrote songs for several musicians such as Adam Levine, Brandy, Sean Kingston, and Flo Rida.
In 2010, Mars’ first album called Doo-Wops and Hooligans instantly became a hit. It had several of his songs such as "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade". A year later, he won his first Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. His second album, Unorthodox Jukebox got well accepted by a lot of music lovers. Some of the songs that became top of the charts are "Locked Out of Heaven", "Treasure", "Gorilla", and "When I Was Your Man".
Bruno Mars eventually performed for the halftime show of Super Bowl XLVIII in February 2014. During the said performance, rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers joined the stage as musical guests.
Peter Gene Hernandez was born on October 8, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is of Puerto Rican and Filipino descent and was raised from a family of musicians.
