Bobby McFerrin is an American born vocalist popularly known for his 1988 pop hit song "Don't Worry, Be Happy." This song made it as the song of the year when released. Besides being a vocalist, he is also a conductor, singer-songwriter, record producer, and musician. He has won the Grammy Awards 10 times and has worked on collaborations and instrumental performances with numerous artists.
In 1985, Bobby McFerrin won two Grammy awards for best jazz vocal performance and the best vocal arrangement. This was then followed by yet another best vocal performance in 1986 and 1987 consecutively. Together with Jack Nicholson, he won the Grammy Award for the best recording for children in 1987. Besides winning the Grammy Award for his hit song “Don’t worry be happy" in 1988, he also won the same award for the best jazz performance “Brothers," this time with Rob Wasserman. His 1992 "Round Midnight" best vocal performance concludes all of his entire Grammy Awards.
Bobby McFerrin was born on 11th March, 1950 in Manhattan, New York. He comes from a lineage of great talents which was seen with his father Robert McFerrin an operatic baritone and Sara Copper a Singer.
