Born Sara Rebecca Abeles, Sara Gilbert is an American actress best recognized for her role in Roseanne as Darlene Conner. She is also known to be one of the hosts of The Talk, a daytime talk show as well as her role as Leslie Winkle on The Big Bang Theory.

Sara Gilbert’s desire to become an actress occurred when she was six years old after her sister became a recipient of Hollywood Walk of Fame’s plaque. After her successful appearances in a couple of movies and advertisements for Kool Aid, Sara Gilbert got a role in Roseanne which was aired from 1988 to 1997.

She has appeared in TV projects such as The Simpsons, Will & Grace, 24, Private Practice and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit  as a guest star. Later on, she got a recurring role on the TV series ER. Sara Gilbert has also appeared on The Class, a TV sitcom aired on CBS and The Twins a TV sitcom, which was aired on The WB network.
