Steve Miller has an estimated net worth of $40 million. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as Steven H Miller to parents passionate about music, he became a maestro with the guitar early in his childhood. As a college student in 1962, Miller formed his first band, The Ardells. His friend Boz Scaggs joined it soon – he would go on to become a famous solo performer later.
Eager to flag off his career as a musician, Miller dropped out of his literature course and took the plunge into professional music. He played with greats like Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy, who helped him hone his talents.
A move to San Francisco proved fruitful for his career. Soon, Barry Goldberg came along, and the duo composed The Mother Song and bagged record deal.
The year 1966 was another watershed in his career when he formed the Steve Miller Band. A string of albums followed like Sailor, Brave New World, Your Saving Grace and Number 5. Collaborations with greats like Paul McCartney followed, and there was no looking back.
Today, he has numerous studio albums under his belt, of which four have gone multi-platinum and twelve have made it to the Top 40 lists.
