Best known  as the co-frontman of the band, The Libertines, Pete Doherty is an English poet, writer, actor, artist, and musician. His band, which was formed with the help of Barat, began earning its mainstream success after the release of its Up The Bracket album. Doherty and the band were enjoying the limelight of success when he was estranged from the band due to his drug addictions.

He was imprisoned for 2 months instead of 6 months for committing burglary in Barat's place. While in prison, amendments were made and he was reunited with the band. The band was later on disbanded mainly due to Doherty's drug addiction. He was arrested for several times for his motorist and drug possession offenses.
