Jeff Hanneman, whose net worth stands at $14 million, was born in Oakland in the state of California on January 31st, 1964. He was a guitarist best known as the founding member of American thrash metal band Slayer in 1981 together with fellow guitarist Kerry King.

Hanneman married his wife Kathryn in 1989 and had no children. She usually stayed at home while Hanneman toured with his band. He contributed greatly to Slayer by producing lyrical and musical material for every album. He finally died of liver failure in a Los Angeles hospital on May 2nd, 2013 which was caused by alcohol-related cirrhosis. He will be greatly remembered for his contribution in speed metal and thrash metal genres in music where he was king. He died at the age of 49.
