Known by his stage name Sean Paul, Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques was born on January 9, 1973 in Kingston, Jamaica. He is of English, Chinese-Jamaican, Jewish, and Afro-Carribean ancestry.

To date, he has already released six studio albums, which include Stage One, Dutty Rock, The Trinity, Imperial Blaze, Tomahawk Technique, and Full Frequency. In 2009, he released his first mixtape, entitled The Odyssey Mixtape.
