An American rapper, songwriter and record producer, Jermaine Dupri’s net worth is roughly $5 million. He has made his fortune from his recording business, which he started as early as when he was 14 years old. Born on 23/9/1972 in Nashville South Carolina, his father was a record executive of Columbia. Taking advantage of his father’s connection, Dupri was able to join dance groups like Diana Ross.
At just the age of 14, Dupri was already producing for younger artists who lived in and around Atlanta. Dupri’s first shot at producing was the time he recorded for female rap artists group Silk Tymes Leather. Although this group was not successful in producing records, it is the foray into this work that made it possible for Dupri to meet numerous useful contacts. His discovery of 2 teenage rap artists at a mall was his maiden big success. Later Jermaine Dupri nicknamed these two lads Kriss Kross, consequently producing the duo’s debut album “Tottally Krossed Out” Thanks to the singles from the debut album, “It’s a shame” and “Jump”, the album was able to achieve multi-platinum sales.
