Bobby V is an American singer, songwriter and actor who has an estimated net worth of $6 million. Born Robert Wilson on February 27, 1980 in Jackson, Mississippi, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he grew up listening to Michael Jackson, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Marvin Gaye, Jodeci, and The Isley Brothers. These artists were his inspirations to become an R&B singer.

V's music career began in 1996 when he became part of the R&B youth quartet Mista and he used the name Bobby Wilson. However, the group split in 1997 due to management issues. He later enrolled at Clark Atlanta University with a major in Mass Communications while he continues to record during his free time hoping that he will soon get back in stage.

Bobby V released his first album Bobby Valentino in 2005 through Island Def Jam and Disturbing tha Peace label of Ludacris. His first major single "Slow Down", which was produced by Grammy Award winners Tim & Bob, became a hit in the US Billboard Top R&B Charts. It was also certified gold by the RIAA. His second single "Anonymous" is also a success. It was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Timbaland, which also made his featured guest appearance.

V has several side projects and has worked with a number of artists. He joined Bow Wow, Omarion, Marques Houston, B5 and Pretty Ricky during the Scream Tour IV.
