American television producer and narrator/voice over artist Thom Beers has an estimated net worth of $20 million. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) since the fall of 2012. He is responsible for the company’s overall management and business performance.

Born in Batavia, New York in 1952, Beers is the former producer and executive with Turner Broadcasting and Paramount Syndicated Television. He has produced more than 40 television series since the mid-90s. Most of the shows were produced under his own company, Original Productions, which he founded in 1999. He remains the Chairman of the production company. He was the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Producer until 2012, when he joined FMNA. He is credited for Deadliest Catch, Lobster Wars, Monster Garage, Monster House and Plastic Surgery: Before and After, all aired on the Discovery Channel family of channels.

Beers is also a narrator for various series on the channel. These include Swords: Life on the Line and Verminators. Some other narration credits include Ice Road Truckers, which is aired on the History Channel, Ax Men, and Storage Wars on A&E, where he is also the executive producer. He serves as the narrator of the “dangerous occupation” series on truTV which includes Black Gold, a documentary about oil drillers, as well as the executive producer and narrator for Tornado Road, a mini-series which airs on The Weather Channel.

Thom Beers is married to the president of Amygdala Music, Leslie Beers, and they have one son named Max. The music label produces all music for Original Productions shows, as well as licensing music for other production companies.
