Eugene Wesley Gene Roddenberry was a famous TV screenwriter and producer in the U.S. He accumulated his wealth through creating the Star Trek film series and other TV series. During the World War II, Gene flew 89 combat missions in the United States Army Air Forces, and later after the war, he worked as a commercial pilot. He joined the Los Angeles Police Department like his father to provide for his family but started focusing on writing scripts for TV programs.

He was born on August 19th, 1992 in El Paso Texas. He was raised in Los Angeles California. He wrote scripts for Have Gun-will, Highway Patrol, among other series. He also managed to produce his own TV series entitled The Lieutenant. He created Star Trek in 1964 and it premiered two years later (1966). This series ran for 3 seasons before it was canceled. In 1985 he was the first TV writer to have a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. He died of cardiopulmonary arrest on 24th of October 1991.
