Chad was born in Lorain, Ohio in the United States but grew up in Pheonix, Arizona where his family relocated. He took interest in skateboarding at a very young age. This interest was triggered by the sight of skating Phoenix kids whom he loved to watch with admiration.

Chad Muska has skated for several companies and corporate sponsors, and was recently named in the list of 30 most influential skaters of all times.In 1998, Muska appeared in four videos for the Forty's company and was most appreciated for his appearance in the video, "Fulfill The Dream".

As an entrepreneur, Muska floated a retail store which he called Factory 413 with his business associate Cabada in Los Angeles.
