About Aaron Spelling
Aaron Spelling was an iconic American movie writer and producer who founded the prestigious Spelling Productions outfit. He is estimated to have a net worth of $600 million. Born April 2, 1923, Aaron Spelling spent the major part of his life making movies. Born to Jewish migrants from Poland in Dallas, Texas, Aaron Spelling got temporarily paralyzed when he was eight years old as a result of incessant bullying by his mates in school and had to be confined to a bed for about one year.
He was in the United States Army during World War 2 after graduating from High School. He later went back to The Southern Methodist University from where he graduated in 1949. The 123 room home Spelling built in 1988 which he named “The Los Angeles Manor” is said to be the biggest single home in the entire city of Los Angeles. The Manor was sold for $85 million in 2011. Spelling wrote and sold several movie scripts in his lifetime. He is equally known to have produced several TV shows and movies. Spelling had a stroke in June 2006, and died that same month at 83. In 2009, Forbes named Spelling the 11th highest- earning dead star.
