Nicholas Lofton "Nick" Hexum is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper. As of the moment, he is the vocalist and guitarist for the multi-platinum alternative rock band 311 and The Nick Hexum Quintet.
Hexum created a gold-selling soundtrack for the film 50 First Dates. It included songs from Jason Mraz, Dryden Mitchell, Seal & Mikey Dread.
Hexum was able to create a nonprofit organization that supports a variety of environmental causes. He called it the Liberal Hexum, and it focuses on global warming. The first charity event of Nick is the Los Angeles marathon. He accepted per mile pledges donated to his PAC.
Nick hit the road with Zack Hexum, his brother, during the 2004 presidential election. Zack is also a musician who supports John Kerry. They were able to cover favorites from bands like Radiohead, Coldplay, The Beatles, Bob Marley, XTC, and The Clash.
Nick uses the label What Have You Records for the production with other artists like Zack Hexum, The Matches, and Pepper. Nick met one of the Pussycat Dolls named Nicole Scherzinger. They dated and became engaged, but they eventually broke off the engagement.
Nick married a writer and painter named Nikki. She worked with Robert Evans and Val Kilmer for Years. They now have three daughters named Echo Love, Maxine and Harlow.
