American singer/songwriter Michael Grimm has an estimated net worth of $3 million. Majority, if not most, of his fortune was earned from being the winner of the fifth season of Americas Got Talent. Born Michael Joseph Grimm on December 30, 1979 in Fort Carson, Colorado, he was raised by his grandparents in Waveland Mississippi but moved to Slidell, Louisiana. As an everyday guy who is trying to make it big in the music industry, Grimm auditioned for Americas Got Talent in 2010. His performance earned him a nod and he made it through to Las Vegas Week. Grimm has also signed to Epic Records. In the spring of 2011, his self-titled album was released. It debuted at No. 13 in the US Pop Music Charts and sold approximately 23,000 copies nationwide. The released single Falling was written and recorded by Alicia Keys. He was previously signed to Mattikay Records and released three albums before he won in AGT. His last album with the recording company, Leave Your Hat On, did relatively well and stole the hot spot in the US Heat Charts. It also peaked at No. 19 in the US R&B chart. His contract with the record label ended in 2010.
