Mark Knopfler, the former lead vocalist and guitarist of Dire Straits has an estimated net worth of $95 million. He was born in Glasgow, though he grew up in Newcastle. He has just moved into his new terraced house in Chelsea, which he bought for more than £9m and then refurbished.
