The lead singer of Jamiroquai and Grammy Award-winner, Manchester-born Kay had a busy 2010.First the band left Sony and signed for Universal’s Mercury label, then came the release of their first studio album since 2005, Rock Dust Light Star.It sold less than 100,000 copies in the UK, although it made the charts in more than 20 countries. The release of the album also led to a renewed bout of touring.
Kay is a shrewd operator, owning 22 serious collectable cars and living in a Buckinghamshire mansion. His company Jamiroquai showed £9.1m assets in 2009-10.
