About Gary Rossington

American musician Gary Rossington was born on December 4th 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida. He has a net worth of $40 million.

Gary’s wealth and fame came from his career in music. He was known as the founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Rossington-Collins Band. He plays lead and rhythm guitar.

Gary formed The Rossington-Collins Band along with Allen Collins, his former bandmate from Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was one of the members from Lynyrd Skynyrd who survived the plane crash with the entire band. When he was a teenager, he had formed the band “The Noble Five”. They later changed the name into “One Percent”, and finally it came to be known as “Lynyrd Skynyrd”.

Rossington-Collins as a band released two albums, but they later split up after the death of Collins’ wife Kathy. He still plays for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Throughout his career, he used several guitars such as Gibson Les Pauls, Gibson SG, Les Paul in sunburst finish and a black finish Les Paul.

He is married to Dale Rossington. The couple has two daughters – Mary and Annie. Gary had a heart problem for which he had to undergo surgery. He also has pain in his legs due to the 1977 plane crash that’s why he miss some of the shows. Gary Rossington is a huge fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
