Foo Fighters is an American rock band which has a net worth of $30 million.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl came from the grunge rock band, Nirvana as drummer in 1990. While with the band, he brought his guitar and wrote songs in between tours. Four years later, when Nirvana's lead vocalist Kurt Cobain found dead in his Seattle home, the band subsequently disbanded. Grohl received numerous offers to join other bands. Instead, he entered the studio and recorded 15 of the forty songs he has written.

He released the recordings under the name, Foo Fighters, taken from the term foo fighter which used during the World War II pertaining to unidentified flying objects. The said demo tape circulated in the music industry. Grohl decided to form the band. He chose Sunny Day Real Estate's bass player Nate Mendel and drummer William Goldsmith, and Nirvana's touring guitarist Pat Smear.

Foo Fighters performed at large crowds as they opened as front act for Matt Watt's tour in 1995. With eight albums, and numerous tours worldwide, they won 11 Grammy Awards, four Brit Awards, and one American Music Awards.

Foo Fighters is comprised of Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins

and Chris Shiflett. Some of the songs became popular are Learn To Fly, Best of You, Big Me, and Monkey Wrench.
