Interestingly, the horror film Halloween inspired Taylor with themes of horror and mask. At the age of fifteen, Taylor developed a drug addiction and overdosed on cocaine twice.

Taylor was approached by Slipknot in 1997, and he joined the band in hope to expand more. He became the lead vocalist of the band and released their debut album which hit the top positions of the charts.

They also made it to the UK album charts as well as the US Billboard 200. Taylor is the founding member of the rock band “Stone Sour”. They released their self-titled album in 2002, which debuted at #46 on the US Billboard 200 list. With a baritone vocal range hich he can sing, growl, scream, shout and rap, he landed on the 86th place for the hit parader’s top 100 metal vocalists of all time because of these abilities.
