English musician, singer, and songwriter Brian May has an estimated net worth of $175 million.

May formed the band Smile in 1968. His stint with the band lasted for two years. In 1970, he and former Smile drummer, Roger Taylor joined Freddie Mercury and John Deacon for Queen. He penned 22 of 20 Queen's hit singles such as We Will Rock You, The Show Must Go On, and Under Pressure.

After frontman Mercury died of AIDS in November 1991, the remaining members of the band established an AIDS relief charity, Mercury Phoenix Trust. Aside from his musical career, May also an astrophysicist who completed his PhD in 2008 after 34 years he abandoned his doctoral degree.
