Leslie Nielsen was a Canadian and naturalized US comedian and actor who had a net worth of $45 Million. He had earned his wealth from appearing in more than 100 films, 1,500 TV shows and by playing more than 200 characters in his entire acting life.

He was born in Saskatchewan, his mother was Welsh and his father was Danish. After graduating from high school, Leslie worked for the Royal Canadian Army even though he was deaf in both ears. Nelson’s career in television started during that age which was popularly referred to as the television's golden age. He acted in more than 50 shows in 1950 alone. Even though he starred in many roles, but none of them was noticeable during the initial years. In 1956, he made his film debut in the movie “The Vagabond King”. He also acted in the science fiction film “The Forbidden Planet”, which went on to become very popular. The success from this film helped him in getting other roles. Nielsen starred in films like Ransom!, Hot Summer Night, Tammy and the Bachelor and the Swamp Fox.

Nielsen’s TV roles include films like Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Virginian, Wild Wild West, Justice and The New Breed. He used to mainly concentrate on comedy works. His last dramatic role was in the film City of Fire.

He often liked to play golf during his free time and because of his hearing disability he supported Better Hearing Institute. In 2010, he died during his sleep as he was suffering from acute pneumonia.
