Actor, director, producer and screenwriter Kevin Michael Costner has an estimated net worth of $150 million. Born in Lynwood, California as the youngest of three sons, Costner's parents were a welfare worker and an electrician. He spent much of his teenage life moving to different parts of California as his father's career progressed to that of a utilities executive at Southern California Edison. He finished his secondary education at Villa Park High School in 1973, and went on to earn a BA in marketing and finance from California State University in Fullerton in 1978.

Costner went on to have minor roles in several films, including Nightshift and Testament. His breakout role was in the 1985 film Silverado, which was directed by his friend Lawrence Kasdan. Costner's claim to fame, however, was when he landed the lead role of Eliot Ness in 1987's The Untouchables. Since then, Costner has gone on to branch out his activities to producing and directing, such as with the films Dances with Wolves and The Postman.
