Keith Moon was an English musician with an estimated net worth of $70 million. He started his passion in music when he was young as he took drum lessons from contemporary drummers Screaming Lord Sutch's Carlo Little.

In 1962, he joined the band, Beachcombers as they played hits by groups such as the Shadows. Then, in 1964, Moon auditioned for the replacement of The Who's Doug Sandom. After Sandom left, The Who needed a session drummer in a show and he was picked to play with the rest of the band. Moon's arrival to the group, The Who changed the dynamics among themselves.

Aside from being a drummer, Moon worked with other musical projects and artists such as Nicky Hopkins, and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, among others. He focused on several solo works that he did after he moved into Los Angeles during the mid-70s. In 1966, he collaborated with Yardbirds guitarist Jeff Beck, pianist Hopkins and Led Zeppelin members Page and John Paul Jones on the instrumental "Beck's Bolero".

Keith John Moon was born on August 23, 1946 in Wembley, London, United Kingdom. He attended Harrow Technical College wherein he took a job as radio repairman. On September 7, 1978, he died of drug overdose after he took 32 clomethiazole tablets.
