Louis Theroux is an English journalist and broadcaster best recognized for the documentary series When Louis Met... and Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends. He is also associated with the Louis Theroux's BBC Two specials. Currently working for the BBC, Louis Theroux serves as producer of several TV shows and documentaries.

Louis Sebastian Theroux was born on May 20, 1970  in Singapore. He is a graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford, where he completed a degree in history. Currently based in Harlesden, London, Great Britain, he lives with his wife Nancy Strang. He has two children.

After working for Metro Silicon Valley as a journalist, he started working for Spy magazine as a writer. Eventually, he became a correspondent for TV Nation series. After his stint with TV Nation, he was signed by BBC which led to the creation of Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends. Louis Theroux has written for several publications which include Hip-Hop Connection  and The Idler.
