Prior to his career with the N.W.A., Ice Cube has been a part of hip-hop group C.I.A.. In 1989, he decided to leave N.W.A. to pursue a solo career in music, as well as in producing, writing, acting and directing in cinema. In fact, he has been one of the producers for Barbershop, a Showtime TV series, as well as on TBS’ Are We There Yet?.

Ice Cube was born on June 15, 1969 in Los Angeles, California as O’Shea Jackson. Since 1992, he has been married to Kimberly Woodruff. The couple has four children together.
